The MacDonald Bridge will be closed for four weekends as it undergoes $70 million in repair work. The two-year project will see the towers stripped of the paint that has accumulated over years to be inspected and repaired. The towers will be completely wrapped to prevent debris from falling on vehicles below. About 90 per cent of the supplies will be bought in Nova Scotia. The first day the bridge will be closed is Friday, April 25th.
