Emerging Artist for August

Go Rock is proud to present the South Shore's own LOVIET as our very first Emerging Artist of the Month for July and August.

A powerhouse of 90’s-tinged indie rock/alt pop, Loviet (pronounced low-vee-it) has made a name for herself supporting critically acclaimed artists like The Beaches, Giant Rooks and Jesse Jo Stark and performing at festivals such as Lollapalooza, Festival D’ete and Ottawa Bluesfest. Residing on the South Shore of Nova Scotia, sole members of the act Natalie Lynn and Ryan Perry from Shelburne have spent the last 5 years honing their craft, touring throughout Canada, UK and the US while growing their fanbase and catalog independently.

Their recent EP titled The Nighttime Is All In The Timing is a sonically expansive and emotionally charged record, described by Loviet as “…lots of guitars, energy, power, and mess.” produced by Cacie Dalager and Bradley Hale of American indie-rock band Now, Now. From the unabating urgency of her boldly breathtaking anthem “Broken Lips” to the unapologetic roar of “Star Treatment,” The Nighttime Is All In The Timing finds Loviet soundtracking moments of reckoning and raw reflection through catchy and cathartic upheavals that hit hard and leave a lasting mark.

With a new record in the works set for release in 2025, Loviet continues to evolve her sound to capture her praised energetic live show as well as her love for anthemic hook-driven songwriting, inspired heavily by influences from the late 90s and early 2000s. Catch her this summer in the US performing at Summerfest in Milwaukee, WI and in Canada at Revelree Music Festival opening for the Goo Goo Dolls and The Trews in Sarnia, ON.
